Pest control invoice apps for one-truck operators

What actually matters when you are the technician, the scheduler and the accounts department — and what the realistic options cost.

All competitor pricing on this page was read from each vendor's own pricing page on August 4, 2026, in US dollars. Software pricing changes without notice — check the vendor's site before making a decision. Where a company does not publish a number, this page says so rather than guessing.

Pest control billing has a wrinkle most trades do not have: the invoice doubles as a service record. Customers on a quarterly program compare this visit against the last one, and depending on your licence and jurisdiction you may be required to record the product applied and the areas treated. So "an invoice app" for pest control really means an app that keeps a defensible history and can bill from it.

What a one-truck operation actually needs

The options

MyKlient — the budget option for a genuine one-truck business

Full disclosure: MyKlient is our app, so read this section with the appropriate scepticism. We have tried to be accurate about the competition and honest about our own gaps — the list of things MyKlient does not do is below, not buried.

Scheduling, client records, invoicing and client texting, on Android. Quarterly programs recur on their own, the property card holds treatment history and photos, and invoices go out as branded PDFs from the driveway. Free for 5 accounts, $4.99/month for 20, $14.99/month for unlimited plus a login for a second technician.

It is general field-service software with pest control among its pre-loaded trades — not a compliance platform. It will not file regulator reports for you or track licence renewals.

What MyKlient does not do

Pest-specific platforms — PestPac, Fieldwork, Briostack

These are built for the industry and it shows: chemical usage tracking, compliance reporting, route optimisation, and customer portals. If you have technicians in multiple trucks, regulator reporting obligations you are currently handling by hand, or a service agreement base large enough that route efficiency is real money, this is the category you want. Most publish pricing on request rather than on the page, so budget for a sales conversation rather than a sign-up form.

General field-service software — Jobber, Housecall Pro, Kickserv

All three handle pest control competently and add things the budget tier does not: online booking, in-app card payments, and customer portals.

A practical way to choose

If you are one person with fewer than about twenty accounts, start with the cheapest tool that keeps a proper history — the money is better spent on getting more accounts than on software features you will not use. If you have a second technician, compare Kickserv's five-seat entry against per-seat pricing elsewhere before assuming the big names are the default. And if compliance reporting is taking real hours out of your week, that is the point where pest-specific software starts paying for itself.

Whatever you choose, get the invoice itemised. It is the cheapest thing you can do to reduce disputes and renewals conversations. If you want a starting point, our free pest control invoice template is a blank PDF and Word file with lines for treatments, products and follow-ups.

Common questions

What is the best invoicing app for a small pest control business?

For a one-truck operator, the practical requirements are recurring program scheduling, a treatment history per property, and invoices you can send from the driveway. MyKlient covers those and is free for 5 accounts. Larger pest-specific platforms such as PestPac and Fieldwork add route optimisation and compliance reporting that established companies need and most solo operators do not.

Do I need pest-control-specific software, or will a general invoicing app do?

If you need regulator-facing chemical usage reporting and licence tracking built in, use pest-specific software. If you mainly need to schedule quarterly programs, keep a record of what you treated where, and get invoices out, a general field-service app is usually cheaper and simpler.

How do I invoice a quarterly pest control program?

Either invoice per visit, noting which visit it is in the program, or invoice the program up front and reference each completed visit. Being explicit about what the customer is paying for is what prevents renewal disputes. Our free pest control invoice template includes lines for treatments, products and follow-up visits.

Can I record the products I used on the invoice?

Many jurisdictions require the product applied and areas treated to be recorded, on the invoice or an attached service report. Requirements vary by licence and region, so check what your regulator expects. Any app you choose should let you attach notes and photos to the visit record.
